As we approach the end of the year, we’ve been thinking about what we can do to help spread the holiday cheer. Last year instead of sending out traditional Christmas cards, we shared with our #ukhousing colleagues an e-card. And we used the money saved to make a donation of £150 to the St Basils Christmas Appeal. This year, we want you to get involved with Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day.
On Friday the 11th of December, we’ll be donning our most fun and festive attire for Christmas Jumper Day. Join us by sharing your Christmas Jumper photos and tagging @SeeMediaPR on social media. For every picture we receive we’ll be donating £1 to Save the Children *up to £200 – so, please get everyone you know involved.
In 2019, Save the Children reached over 38.7 million children in 117 countries. This year the pandemic has intensified social challenges for many, right here in the UK. It’s great to be able to come together (virtually) and raise funds from home. £2 could pay for hand sanitizer to help fight Covid-19 in one of Save the Children’s medical clinics. £10 could buy antibiotics to help five children beat malnutrition and, £100 could buy a first aid kit for a health worker in Somalia.
We’ll be officially closing on Christmas Eve and will be returning to normal hours on January 4, 2021. If you have any questions in the meantime about PR, marketing and comms planning for next year, send us an e-mail at email@example.com.
