See Media is showing its support to the Homeful Campaign and fundraising to support the work of charity End Youth Homelessness.
Homeful was launched, and is led by, CIH President Jo Richardson. Its purpose is to explore housing-led approaches to resolve and prevent all forms of homelessness across the UK, with housing professionals working together to collect data, analyse findings and share learning across the UK.
The campaign also features a wide variety of online and face-to-face events to raise money for End Youth Homelessness. Jo walked 22 miles a day, inviting people to get involved alongside her, including individuals who have faced homelessness across the country.
In our own bid to raise funds and awareness of this important issue, we’ll be working as a team to complete 22 activities over 22 days in (20)22 – oh and each activity will be 22 themed too – make sense? We hope so, but just in case, our planned activities at the moment include:
•22 laps of the Toronto Airport lounge (Stuart is on holiday but making sure he gets off to a good start)
•Saying ‘hi’ to 22 visitors while volunteering at the Commonwealth Games (Sarah is a volunteer host)
•22 puppy tricks
•22 metre swim in the Welsh sea…
…and plenty more between now and the 4th August when the whole team will be celebrating the end of our fundraising, by attending the Commonwealth Games to watch the athletics from the stands at the Alexandar Stadium.
We’re aiming to raise at least £250 to support the charity; with donations being used to tackle homelessness, provide support with mental and physical health problems, and help homeless young people into training and employment. However, we pledge that if we hit this target, as an agency we’ll match this figure to bring the total to at least £500.
