See Media has won not one, but three awards at this year’s CIPR PRide Midlands Awards.
We’ve been named as Small Consultancy of the Year, after scooping silver at last year’s virtual awards ceremony.
On top of this prestigious award, our Account Director Sara-Anne Mills-Bricknell was also named as Outstanding Young Communicator of the Year, an award which showcases young PR professionals who make valuable contributions to their organisations and show substantial promise as leaders.
This isn’t the first time Sara-Anne, who is Chair of the CIPR’s podcast board, has been celebrated for her work in the sector, also claiming the title of Rising Star of the Year at the PRCA DARE Midlands Awards in 2021.
As if that wasn’t enough, we were also awarded silver in the Not-for-profit Campaign category for our work on the George Blunden Public Art Prize, developed with our client and leading housing provider Stonewater.
The competition, launched last year, aimed to raise awareness of the social impact of public art on communities, inviting emerging and established artists to pitch their ideas for the chance to win a cash prize and five public art commissions. Resulting in 47 entrants and 69 clippings across local, radio and trade media, it was deemed such a success that Stonewater now intends to run the prize annually.
With a team that has grown by a third this year alone, See Media specialises in PR for the social housing sector.
On winning Small Consultancy of the Year, CIPR Midlands, said: “See Media deserves this award in recognition of what it has achieved in pivoting its business during the Covid pandemic and attaining phenomenal growth and client outcomes. The judges wanted to highlight in particular the agency’s commitment and support of both its own people and the sector it specialises in.”
Stuart Macdonald, Managing Director, said: “We’re so pleased to have had the work of the team recognised. Having also been named Small Consultancy of the Year at the PRCA DARE Awards earlier this year, we’re particularly thrilled to have claimed the title at the CIPR Midlands Awards too. I couldn’t be prouder of the team, and of course of Sara-Anne on her award, which is thoroughly deserved.”
“It’s also fantastic to have won these awards alongside our long-standing client Stonewater. We wouldn’t be where we are today without our passionate and knowledgeable clients. It’s a pleasure to work with them and to promote the innovative and life-changing work they are doing. Again, I’m extremely proud of the team for continually going above and beyond to deliver a first-class service to our clients.”
