New fundraising target set to buy beds for children

stacey cooper fundraising for see media

We’re almost halfway through the year (I know, already!?!) and are on our way to raising a fantastic £1,000 for our charity of the year, thanks to our wonderful clients, friends and supporters.

Our original target of £500 was surpassed when Stuart completed his 15-mile run around the glorious, but tough Balmoral Castle Estate, so far bringing the total for See Media’s chosen charity of the year, Zarach, to £750.

About Zarach

Zarach was set up in 2017 by a Deputy Head Teacher who wanted to address the increase in children she saw struggling at school. Zarach has a mission to end child bed poverty in England, giving children the opportunity to engage at school and a chance to break the cycle of poverty.

It sources beds and basics for children in poverty to help them eat, sleep and learn.

Thanks to Stuart’s sterling efforts, we’ve so far raised enough for five bed bundles, which is fantastic, but we’d love to raise more. And so we’ve doubled our original target and are now aiming for £1,000.

Stuart has now passed the baton (as well as some running snack advice!) to me and I’ll also be lacing up my running shoes and taking to the hills – this time hoping to complete a 15-mile trail run along Offa’s Dyke, running from Hay-on-Wye to Kington.

Mileage motivation

Last time I did this run, I swore I would never do it again, but this charity is something we’re all really passionate about supporting, so here we go again!

I’m definitely going to need some motivation on those training runs and the day itself, and raising money for Zarach will do just that.

As a mum to two young children, the fact that there are children without a proper bed to sleep in is a hard one to take. But that’s the reality – and that’s why we’re so determined to do our bit to help Zarach with their mission to provide ‘a bed for every head’.

Wish me luck and please donate here if you can:
